Vickie L. Evans is a gifted and talented woman who wear many hats
(literally and professionally) to include: best-selling author, entrepreneur, minister, producer, award-winning director,
motivational speaker, promoter, playwright, and poet. She is a highly experienced writer with a gift for vividly making her
thoughts come to life. Vickie is also skilled in adapting materials for the stage or screen, with the ability to tailor scripts
toward a specific topic of interest and budget. Ms. Evans has directed and produced numerous stage plays throughout the United
States and internationally also. Her artistic career spans over three decades. She
is the president of Soaring High Productions, a talent promotion agency whose dual-mission is: 1) to provide self publishing
resources and step-by-step consulting for aspiring authors, and 2) to provide opportunities for aspiring performing artists,
poets, playwrights, and producers to display their talents via theatrical productions.
She has written two books, "The Art of Forgiving" a relationship-building memoir that emphasizes the importance
and benefit of forgiving; and her bestselling memoir, "Know Your Worth! (Overcoming
the Dragon of Low Self-Esteem), an empowering, tell-all book that is designed to break the cycle of "low self-esteem",
through Divine Instruction, life-learned lessons, poetry, and songs. Every young and mature woman should read this book whether
for inspiration, revelation, or celebration. She is also a motivational speaker who lends her oratorical skills to high schools,
churches, civic groups, non-profit and corporate organizations. Her stage play, "A Change Is Gonna Come" which depicts
domestic violence, received 4 awards at the 2009 Velocity Magazine Awards, to include a "Best Director" award for
Vickie. She has been the keynote speaker at several women conferences and seminars. Nominated for 2007 Phenomenal Woman, Vickie
works tirelessly to make a difference in her community, with a passion for young ladies and women who have experienced love/relationship
issues. She has directed and produced numerous stage plays throughout the United States and internationally addressing such
critical issues such as domestic violence, rape, homelessness, etc. She made her national debut with her stellar play, "A
Change Is Gonna Come" which opened to a sold-out audience. She is an advocate in the campaign to eliminate domestic violence

AUTHOR: (2009) Vickie is a best-selling author. Her latest book, "Know Your Worth! (Overcoming the Dragon of Low Self-Esteem) ranked 5th in Emotions, 7th
in Women Studies, and 7th in Gender Studies on the Amazon.com Bestsellers' List. Know Your Worth! chronologies her assessment,
healing, and triumph over low self-esteem. She frankly and boldly reveals the struggles of her past, journeying back
to her childhood. Vickie also wrote and published a motivational self-help guide entitled The Art of Forgiving. This
literary piece is her personal chronicle of her triumph and victory, over the heartache of divorce, through the power of forgiveness.
As a result of her writing and oratorical skills, she was presented the 2006 Voices of Women award by the Prince William County,
Virginia chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and Delta Education foundation. In 2007, she was nominated for Phenomenal
Woman of the Year by Sisters Enhancing Sisters, Inc. In addition, she was featured as the "Author of the Month"
on Heaven 1580's Authors' Corner.
POET:
Vickie's love for poetry began at the age of nine years old. As an only child, poetry became a vehicle of expressing childhood
"growing pains" in the small town of Sugarland, Texas. Her first published poem, Reflections, was published in The
International Library of Poetry compilation entitled The Drifting Sands, in Owing Mills, Md.
PLAYWRIGHT: (2009) Ms. Evans has proven to be a prolific playwright.
Vickie was awarded "Best Director" for "A Change Is Gonna Come"
at the 2009 Velocity Magazine Awards. Cast members of "A Change Is Gonna Come" received four Velocity
Magazine Awards (out of the the six in which the play was nominated). "A Change Is
Gonna Come", which depicts domestic violence in the church, debuted in 2007 to a sold-out audience and made its
national debut to a record-number audience at the historic Lincoln Theatre in Washington, DC, which has hosted such entertainment
greats as the late Billy Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Duke Ellington. She has written, directed, and produced several stage
plays in several states in the United States and internationally. to include: New York, Kentucky, Tennessee, Washington DC,
Maryland, Delaware, and West Germany.
ADVOCATE/COMMUNITY
ACTIVIST: Vickie's passion is to empower and encourage women of all ages and walks of life. She believes that if women
knew their worth and value it would eliminate degradation such as prostitution and the sexual exploitation of women in entertainment.
She actively speaks out against domestic and sexual abuse.
